Phil - we call them "McMansions", a term I think we got from our friends Steve 
and
Lynne.

We read it.  I think it's lovely to look at, very itneresting to ponder and very
applicable to cohousing.  Especially for people like us who have VERY "stuff
intensive" lives and will have to learn to make do with less personal space in
cohousing.  We like the book and look forward to reading the sequel.
