Real estate development excludes people that have no assets, are not mortgagable, and have little drive to succeed. Rob, I take issue with your wording although I understand what you're trying to say: "willing" should be replaced by"able" to put in a time commitment. Folks of limited means often don't choose to be affordable. They have multiple jobs, are often single working parents, have other circumstances, etc. They often can't afford babysitters. Please let's not label affordable folks as lacking in motivation or being unwilling --- they might just have more pressing priorities. thanks., Jan De Kenis Cambridge Cohousing >I --============_-1238847066==_ma============ Content-Type: text/html; charset="us-ascii" <!doctype html public "-//W3C//DTD W3 HTML//EN"> <html><head><style type="text/css"><!-- blockquote, dl, ul, ol, li { margin-top: 0 ; margin-bottom: 0 } --></style><title>RE: Why cohousing should not be mission driven to be a</title></head><body> <div>Because it requires a large commitment of time and energy and <b> most people are not willing</b> to put that in, discount home or no.</div> <div><br></div> <div>Real estate development excludes people that have no assets, are not</div> <div>mortgagable, and<b> have little drive to succeed.</b></div> <div><br></div> <div><br></div> <div>Rob,</div> <div><br></div> <div>I take issue with your wording although I understand what you're trying to say: "willing" should be replaced by"able" to put in a time commitment.
