Retrofit Cohousing is developed in existing housing by changing the way the occupants of that housing relate - usually with new occupants moving in to participate in the community. Retrofiting the social relations and not necessarily the structures. There seems to be some potential for lower cost cohousing using this very different approach. The little web page I maintain about retrofit cohousing at http://freenet.msp.mn.us/~fholson/cohousing/retrofit/ is due for updates. Any one have any news?
