I have had a report of a message sent to cohousing-L [at] cohousing.org that did not get distributed to subscribers. You should get a copy of your message back when you post **. Please watch for it if you post and report to me if you do NOT get the message back via the list (it may take a few minutes to get your copy). (see also techy post script below.) (** unless you have set the not-me-too option ) Other notes: Replies: The new list is set up so that the "Reply-to:" header is set to send back to the list which is different than it was for the last 5 years - but like it was before 1996... The result is that replies should go back to the list by default (depending on your mail program). In any case be careful that your reply goes to the address you intend. If you think there would be general interest in your reply send it to the list. If your reply is private or not of general interest, send it to the author of the message you are replying to. The tag. I have added an underscore to the tag "[C-L]_" to get some space between the "]" and the first character of the real subject line to improve readability. Generally I am aware of few problems with the new list. I'd appreciate any comments about the new subscribe process etc via the website (URL below) or other features of the new list. Please send comments direct to me. This message is an exception to the general rule of keeping discussion on the topic of cohousing :) Fred, cohousing-L list manager PS Techy note: It is possible that there might be old DNS references to the cohousing.org domain around the net / at your site that result in the message going to the old server but these should be purged from the network soon. The old server has just come up, so for the time being I am the only subscriber to the old list and will get copies of messages that mistakenly get posted to it. At some point messages that get to cohousing-L [at] mtn.org (one way or another) will start bouncing. -- Fred H.
