As a sometimes disappointed optimist & cynic, I draw on the discussion list
and reading to develop an Australian version of cohousing. This version may
well be less associated with "co" and more "housing".

Here in Melbourne, coffee has a role to play in promoting the "co". It is
universally acknowledged as pleasant to sip a cappucino sitting outside on
the street. So perhaps it's not only the common meals but the associations
with coffee that will drive the "co" in cohousing.
