Hi, Here is an invitation to those who would like to live in a cohousing community in the exciting urban environment of Seattle, Washington: Join our community in Seattle Cohousing, completing soon near downtown! Seattle Cohousing is looking for a few more families to join our planned community near downtown. Only two units left! 3 bedroom/2.5 bath townhomes, with hardwood floors, maple cabinets, decks, hi-speed Internet. Approx. prices start at $276,000 Occupy in October, 2001! "Cohousing" starts with a group of families creating a housing development to share resources and build community. Families own their own homes (as a condo) and share ownership in common facilities such as a large kitchen and dining/meeting space, children's play area, laundry, workshop, and maybe guest rooms. Communities usually assign cooks and eat dinners together 3-4 times per week. Our 27 homes, mostly townhouses, are situated along a pedestrian street to provide safe play areas for children and many opportunities for community interaction. Seattle Cohousing is finishing construction on a 1.25 acre site in the Jackson Place Community. This hillside site is near the International District and a few blocks west of Judkins Playfield and Park. The award-winning architect is Mike Pyatok, professor at UW School of Architecture. Come meet us and take a tour of the nearly completed project! Call Kathy: (206) 522-3099 www.seattlecohousing.org --------------------- Note, for those who have read my postings concerning Jackson Place Cohousing: Seattle Cohousing is one and the same as Jackson Place Cohousing. Seattle Cohousing is now the official name. Jackson Place Cohousing will very soon become the official name. That will happen when we begin our move-in. _______________________________________________ Cohousing-L mailing list Cohousing-L [at] cohousing.org Unsubscribe and other info: http://www.communityforum.net/mailman/listinfo/cohousing-l
