I sure enjoy learning stuff that has relevance to and beyond cohousing on this list--as our recent cats/communication/emotions vs. logic discussions have given me. So let me fire another salvo: the MBTI is an outdated unreliable personality assessment. The four factors of the MBTI were originally successed by Karl Jung (I like him, really, our birthdays are identical...) and had no empirical basis. In the past several decades, several psychologists have decided--based on empirical data, not on anecdote and observation like Jung--that there are in fact five personality factors, these are called the "Big Five". Extroversion/Introversion is the only factor the Big Five has in common with the MBTI. If you want to get more information, look up Keith Harary and his Berkeley Personality Profile. And watch out for his nonverbals :-) _______________________________________________ Cohousing-L mailing list Cohousing-L [at] cohousing.org Unsubscribe and other info: http://www.communityforum.net/mailman/listinfo/cohousing-l
