Another idea is to build something the size of a two car garage that can
later be used for storage. Not warm or cool enough for long term use but
fine for gatherings of an hour or two.

The hardest thing about organizing a group is meeting space. Having a space
that begins to "feel like home" from the outset is very helpful.

Having your own space, even if it is a tent, also means those who have not
moved in yet can feel is "theirs" too. It's there for members to hang out in
without a formal invitation.

One start up group had a piece of land along a highway where the members
would pull over and walk the land which was heavily forested. Another member
seeing a car would stop too. It was not uncommon to see 3-4 cars there at a
time. People just hanging out.

Several others have purchased land that had a house or some sort of building
on the property that they could use for meetings and as a community center.
