Recent "Remembering" messages reminded me...

Cohousing-L messages that contain
"Stories about life in cohousing"
have gotten a variety of subject lines over the years.

Here are links to some of them.

>From the structured archives:
http://141.211.200.72/%7Earagon/tcn/struct/salic.html

>From the Subject line search:
http://nzpp.virtualave.net/coho/search.pl?string=remembering
http://nzpp.virtualave.net/coho/search.pl?string=looking+%2B+glass
http://nzpp.virtualave.net/coho/search.pl?string=stories
http://nzpp.virtualave.net/coho/search.pl?string=encouraging+%2B+words
( A few search technique notes on this last one at very end...)

Alternately you could get all of the messages from the last 4 links
above link by copy and pasting the following line:

(encouraging + words) (remembering) (looking + glass) (stories)

into the "Enter search words:" box at the
Cohousing-L subject line search page at:
http://nzpp.virtualave.net/coho/

Of course there are some others in there too... Let us know of others
you dig out of the archives.

Also note that the link at the bottom of the results page has
a link to "retrieve" all messages as one document in case you want to
retrieve them and read them offline. (or start editing...)

I concur that editing this (and similar material) into one document
would be great. Selwyn, let us know when it's ready to be posted as a web
page :) (Tho links to them in the archives are useful, a more readable
single document would get read more. Both are useful. Editing is more
work...)

Search Technique Notes

I surely did not remember the subject line "Encouraging Words"
from a 1995 message as having a cohousing story...
But I found it; here's how:

I remembered a message from years ago from David Mandel about a community
member being ill (and something about 'you may not remember me').
So I used the subject line search for "mandel" and scanned the subject
lines but nothing poped out at me from David's 162 messages. So I
"retrieved them (so all messages were in one temporary web page.
Then I searched for "sick" and presto, there was the message.

Fred
