Please ask your accountant what law s/he thinks it would be violating. I
hesitate to answer before hearing this. I suspect the issue is IRS tax
exemption, in which case the question would come up only if and when you are
audited. No one could predict for sure the outcome of that but you would
certainly have an argument that it was an allowed expenditure, especially if
approved by consensus and documented.
