I know nothing about AOL settings except that they cause problems on every list I'm on, but I do know that you need to check the settings for both messages you compose and send and messages that are replies to other messages. Sometimes your settings will say to write all messages in text, but there is another setting that says to reply to messages in the format they were sent.
