Jeanne Goodman <GoodmanJ [at] jpcohousing.org> is the author of the message below. It was posted by Fred the Cohousing-L list manager <fholson [at] cohousing.org> because the message included HTML ; PLEASE do not post HTML, see http://csf.colorado.edu/cohousing/2001/msg01672.html -------------------- FORWARDED MESSAGE FOLLOWS -------------------- First of all, as for my vehemence, it comes mostly from the advice of other groups such as New View (see Jim's recent post), the Cambridge Mass cohousing experiences, and advice that we have received through our dedicated research teams. I would like to say, speaking for myself, that I can't say enough wonderful things about Cohousing Resources and Chris ScottHanson. I feel as though I'm pretty clear about their weakness and strengths. I would like to point out for any forming groups that I feel very confident that our group was about to dissolve until we found Chris ScottHanson. I know we were about to back out. Thank G-d, Diane Simpson insisted on bringing Chris in to talk to the group and she was so sure of herself that she was willing to pay for it out of her own pocket. He started speaking at 9:00 am. By 10:00 my husband and I had agreed to become equity members. He made us that sure this would really happen. We haven't looked back or regretted our decision ever since. I don't mean to be giving CR (Cohousing Resources) free advertisement, but I think it's important that forming communities should be aware that this was probably the most major turning point in our community.
