I found this comment puzzling. The assumption is that affordable
homeownership is sought by people looking for subsidies or who are
unwilling to apply the necessary dedication & work. This strikes me as
classist.

Thank you to the person who posted a message that details the wonderful
work being done in Asheville, NC where this very issue seems to be
addressed in a way that is beneficial to all involved. From what I read
the participants in that project are all more than willing to be dedicated
& work towards their goals of private homeownership within the construct
of an intentional community.
