We use them, and like them a lot. You don't NEED them for dicsussions in a smaller group, but it's really helpful for everyone to get familiar with them while your group is still small, so you have people proficient with them by the time your group gets bigger. A couple tips.. We review the cards at the beginning of each general meeting, unless it's all old hands. We also, more recently, started having the cards up on the wall (a full piece of paper per card) for reference.
