Hi all - Well, I've been living in Eno Commons in Durham, NC, since mid-1998 and will be moving out sometime this summer to take a job in Washington, DC. My family and I love living in cohousing (almost all the time) and we have struggled with this decision mightily for several months. My kids have stipulated that they are only agreeing to move if we stay in cohousing! I currently have an interesting job and, if you had asked last summer, would have said that I'd never see myself uprooting my life and family to follow a job. Just goes to show, you should never say never. We are looking at cohousing opportunities in the DC area (and hyperventilating in sticker shock). Among other things, I'm trying to figure out how much commute cohousing is worth. Anyone else out there pulling a long commute for cohousing? Pros? Cons? -Jessie Handforth Kome Eno Commons Durham, NC Where my 4BR house is going on the market at the end of this month. _______________________________________________ Cohousing-L mailing list Cohousing-L [at] cohousing.org Unsubscribe and other info: http://www.communityforum.net/mailman/listinfo/cohousing-l
