I've been wondering about this one myself.  I'm seeking a different kind of
living arrangement and I've looked at several intentional communities seeking
members.  The ones that puzzle me are those in extreme rural locations, hours
from any community with job possibilities and which have no community
business established.  It seems that only freelance writers, artists or the
independently wealthy could consider these.
