Seeking Lenders with Cohousing Experience

I went into Wells Fargo yesterday yesterday
and laid out our current project plan and costs,
not because we are ready to borrow, but because
we are ready to start putting together the
information that would be in the loan request
package.

As always I had to do the Cohousing 101 lecture.

He indicated that since Wells Fargo is very large on the
West Coast if we know of any co-housing groups that
obtained financing through Wells Fargo that would be
valuable - because he could talk to the banker(s)
at the branch involved and that might increase the
feasibility and speed the mechanics of financing.

That seems to be one of the few possible advantages
of a large bank, for us in a currently cohousing
deficient area (we're gonna change that!) of the
country. If anyone knows of nationwide banks or
any financial institutions that may have a presence
in Austin that have financed or are currently well
into the process of financing Cohousing please
post either directly to me - or to the list if you
prefer.
