I actually don't know if we were required to have a stove, since
everyone here has one. It is the thing that determines if a kitchen is a
kitchen. You can have extra appliances in your house and not call it a
kitchen if it doesn't have a stove.

We do have a lot of variation in the other appliances and a lot of
choice as to where we put them.
