We have been building homes steadily for over two
years and are now at 17 homes served by Waterfurnace
ground source heating and cooling systems (one system
per unit): 13 w/ vertical bores and 4 w/ground loops.
We have had no failures of loop joints nor any repair
service to the units. It is time to begin pressure
checks and coil cleaning.
One of our homeowners complained after six months, 3
months in the dead of winter, that she was getting cold
water during her morning shower (outside temp in teens
and lower). Found that her home hot water heater was
not connected to power: the desuperheater was heating
her house AND her water.
