Hi Diane!  Thanks for the new thread.

Here at Takoma Village in Washington DC, we have a lovely very large blue
dumpster that was brand new when delivered.  (That lasted a week -- 1st week
pick up damaged the doors.)  We also have a much smaller green dumpster for
paper and cardboard plus two very large plastic trash containers for
co-mingled items (plastic n' glass, aluminum, etc.)

City ordinances require condos to provide their own trash pick up.
Recycling is also mandated by city ordinance -- to wit the various
additional containers. W/ so little land, I can't imagine how else we could
organize this at TVC.  43 individual trash containers?  Now I am very
curious to hear how other groups handle their trash and trash collection.
