Hobarts come in many sizes, none of them "regular" dishwashers to my
knowledge. Ours is a below-the-counter model. The classic in-line
above-the-counter one, with the doors that pull up and down, is expensive and
takes up valuable counter space. It does have the advantage of not having to
get down to almost floor level to load and unload.

<< If above the counter, is it noisy? and is it a washer and not just a
sanitizer? >>
It's moderately noisy, but since the cycle lasts only 90 seconds, its not a
problem. I don't hear it runing when I'm in the dining room anyway, so its
not too loud. Next, it's a washer, not just a sanitizer. It is a
high-temperature model- the low temp models require the sanitizing chemicals,
which we didn't want to use. The high-temp ones use regular dishwashing
detergent.

<< If below the counter, are the racks heavy to lift up and does the floor
get wet? >>
The racks can get heavy and one needs to lift properly. Mixing up heavy and
light things can keep the trays from getting too heavy. Those with bad backs
do other things. The trays are also HOT and if lifting them just after they
come out of the machine it's wise to use a towel. A little shake of the tray
before you lift it gets off most of the water, but the floors can get a
little wet. Our unloading table is right next to the machine, so it's
literally only a couple of square feet that might get wet, and our floor is
the kind that doesn't get very slippery when wet. Wet floors hasn't been a
problem yet (typed with my fingers crossed, which ain't that easy...).

Thanks for any info. >>
