Oak Village Commons meetings all include a potluck dinner. We open and close
with a brief circle which includes singing -- usually a nonsectarian grace in
the opening circle and something like "May the circle be open" or "The More We
Get Together" for the closing. We often sing simple seasonal rounds, too, and
the kids join in as well as adults. The act of gathering in a circle and
singing with each other really brings us together as a community. (Even those
among us who don't consider themselves singers).
