Heartwood is a mixed development model cohousing project (production and custom homes) and we have two of our custom lots which are yet to be built upon. We're looking into the possibility of partnering with Habitat for Humanity to build affordable houses on those lots. I remember reading about other cohousing groups that have partnered with Habitat, but I'm not sure if I remember who all of you are. If you have a Habitat for Humanity home(s) within your neighborhood, could you please share with me info including: when the homes were built; design process; construction process; financing; member (home buyer) selection; etc. I'd also like to hear your overall reaction to the experience -- good, bad, other. Thanks very much, Mac -- Mac Thomson Heartwood Cohousing Southwest Colorado http://www.heartwoodcohousing.com "We shall not cease from exploration And the end of all our exploring Will be to arrive where we started And know the place for the first time." - T.
