What is cooked is entirely up to the cooks. Sometimes its vegetarian friendly, and sometimes it aint. Some cooks make a point to serving both, some cooks don't bother. You learn which is which, and cross yourself off for those nights the non-vegetarian supporting cooks are up. It works out to maybe twice a month.
