I would think that allowing members to sponsor a particular project might help the group get more of their wish list done, as long as sponsoring was restricted to those who had already paid their share of the projects prioritized by the group. From Diane's message, I am not clear on whether members are obligated to pay a share of the costs for agreed upon projects, or whether some other system is in place.
