Cohousing-L Mailing List: Ecovillage in Lawrence Mass, at MBTA station

An ecovillage project is being planned for an old mill site at 5 Union 

Street in Lawrence, Mass.  1200 feet from the new MBTA station soon to 

be under construction.  50 minutes to Boston's North Station on the 

train.

90 to 100 units possible with mixed use opportunity.  Could be a 

cluster of 3 or 4 cohousing neighborhoods right on the Merrimac river, 

with river frontage.  Located on an island between the Merrimac River 

and a canal which may supply on site micro-hydro power.  Cross the 

river on the bridge to get to the MBTA station.
