One thing that might be most workable would be to have the option of a
live-work project in cohousing. Some cohousing projects have office space
onsite where some members have shared arrangements of various sorts with the
community. 

One group had plans to have their kitchen used by members who wanted to do
catering. Another has architects working onsite. Shared artists workshops
would be very nice. A day-care center. A school.

But if everyone has to be part of the work arrangement as well as the living
arrangement, you lose diversity and make the project much more difficult to
put together. You have to start a business as well as do a real estate
development project. Hard work since each one can take half a life time!
