Can understand why you made that decision. The difficulties involved are
undoubtedly the reason there are so few cohousing neighborhoods in the
US even though many are yearning for community. It is unfortunate that
our culture doesn't recognize the importance of community in our daily
lives. Years ago I worked at M. Scott Peck's Foundation for Community
Encouragement. Its sole purpose was to demonstrate the experience of
community and spread the word. Two years ago it, too, met its end and
was disbanded.

We appreciate the valuable feedback offered by many members of this list
concerning our frustration as we've struggled to form an intentional
community.

We have reached a very difficult decision to suspend our efforts to form
a community. We don't have the time or energy to drag a group of people
into agreement. 

 We are going to use our resources to build our own off grid straw bale
home and remain linked with like minded people in Northern Indiana and
around the world.
