Hello-Our process steering committee (PSC )at Ecovillage (Song-second
neighborhood) is sending out these questions in an effort to
understand how other communities handle challenging process and
steering issues. Thanks so much! rachael
Here are the questions:1. Do you have a statement(s) of your consensus agreements posted on the web or that you would be willing to send to us?
2. Do you have strategies that are particularly effective when dealing with complex issues (such as designing a common house and deciding on how to use shared outdoor space)?
3. What is the role of committees? To what extent are they empowered?4. How have you successfully engaged people who have important insights and concerns but who do not want to participate meetings or committees on a regular basis?
5. How do you balance the need for an inclusive, democratic process without dampening the enthusiasm and creativity of people who love to "get things done" without participating in much process?
