Dear Cohousers:
A group is forming to take a field trip to Denmark (the birthplace of
cohousing) sometime in October.  Although the focus of the group will be
to visit Elder Cohousing we expect to include multigenerational
communities as well.

For those who have not heard of Elder Cohousing: over the past decade a
50+ version of cohousing began to establish itself in Denmark and now
accounts for the majority of Danish cohousing projects built in the last
five years. The first Elder Cohousing Community in the United States,
Elder Spirit Community in VA, is expected to be completed in 2005
followed by Silver Sage Cohousing located in Boulder, CO in 2006. Both
of these communities draw inspiration from emerging elder organizations
including Spiritual Eldering Institute, Second Journey and others. For
those of you who are not interested in a trip but are interested in
learning more about elder cohousing simply e-mail your questions to me
and I will endeavor to answer them.
