Cohousing-L Mailing List: Request for information about rentals

    I am a perspective member of CoHo Eco-Village in Corvallis Oregon.  I have 
a low income and my participation in this co-housing effort is dependent upon 
the availability of rentals.  Our group has a rental committee which is 
gathering information of other co-housing group experiences with rentals.  
    I am interested in finding out if other co-housing groups have any 
experience with an outside agency purchasing the unit and offering it for rent. 
 We are interested in policy and procedures that would need to be adopted for 
this to happen as well as any experiences that other groups may have with this 
practice.
    You wrote in your email that your group has rentals but my impression is 
that the rentals are only available from current owners in the co-housing unit. 
 Our committee is interested in experiences that other co-housing groups have 
had regarding outside agencies purchasing units and offering them for rent to 
co-housing members.  Any information that you could share would help us out.
