There is a message in the Cohousing-L archives about Maruja Torres' thesis
at:  http://lists.cohousing.org/pipermail/cohousing-l/msg16306.html It has
a link to a summary which has a link to the permanent copy at University
of Florida College of Design  

The large size of the document is due to the pictures of cohousing in the
appendix.  I wish I knew how / had a way to manipulate pdf documents to
separate the text from the images... If anyone knows how (preferably Unix
based), please write me off list.

BTW Maruja is now at Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa (my alma mater as
it happens) in the school of design there.  She has occasionally taken
classes of students to visit cohousing.  Unfortunately there are not many
communities close to ISU.

The cohousing-L message also has a link to my "Publications on Cohousing"
list. ( Note that the url's of 'summary' and 'list' will change one of
these times - there will be a forwarding link as long as I control the
