Hi folks,I thought you might like to know about this resource. The dissertation is 278 pages long and about 10MB if you download it. I skimmed a few sections and it looks clear and well-written; a wonderful resource for people who are into this kind of thing. The focus is on architectural design issues in coho. I think it would be particularly useful for any forming communities that are heading into the common house design phase soon.
The Dissertation with the excellent literature discussion is temporarily here: http://design.uoregon.edu/nywc/torres_cohousing_dissertation.pdf The book about Nordic cohousing is Fromm, D. (1991) Collaborative Communities: Co-Housing, Central living, and Other New Forms of Housing with Shared Facilities. New York: Van Nostrand Reinhold.
