Hello all! Would you help spread the word about this training? Mid Atlantic Cohousing (MAC) is embarking on a series of workshops focusing on consensus. The 1st one is May 15th. Consensus is a lifelong learning process. We hope cohousing communities both near to and far from the Washington, DC area will participate in the workshops and take what they learn back to their home group -- and spread the word! --begin? FRUSTRATED with consensus? Do you find the process LONG and TEDIOUS? Is the ENERGY LEVEL at your meetings low, low, LOW? Mid Atlantic Cohousing (MAC) is offering a 3 hour workshop Sunday, May 15, 2005, 10a.m.-1:00p.m. focusing on three fundamentals of consensus often overlooked or not understood that are frequently at the heart of a lot of the conflict and difficulty around using consensus. Come learn what these fundamentals are and how they can help you and your group. We will also cover the ever daunting BLOCK and show why we¹ve come to believe it¹s a MYTH! You will also learn why consensus is ³irresistible!² DETAILS: IRRESISTIBLE CONSENSUS -- YOU GOTTA TAKE IT HOME! Leaders: Hana Newcomb, Blueberry Hill, Martie Weatherly, Liberty Village, Ann Zabaldo, Takoma Village. Sunday May 15th 9:00 a.m Bagels and coffee Workshop 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. Brown Bag Lunch Catoctin Creek Village (formerly Proximity) Lovettsville, VA FREE to MAC members; non members: $15.00 RSVP: Lauranne Oliveau lauranneoliveau [at] aol.com or 703-453-0487. Please let us know in advance that you are coming so we can have materials and handouts prepared for you Directions: www.catoctincreekvillage.com <http://www.catoctincreekvillage.com/> VERY VERY IMPORTANT: Bring us your consensus failures! Participants are asked to bring a consensus situation that did not go well in their community. This is VERY important. (Have we stressed this enough?) We want to work with actual problems people have faced in trying to reach consensus that have made it difficult or have caused the consensus process to fail. We will use these real situations in the workshop as topics for discussion and practice. --end--
