I think this is so variable that it is unpredictable but the developers on the list would know better. I suspect it varies widely depending on your geographic area -- density of population, liberal or conservative, competition from inexpensive housing in the area, etc. Urban areas sell faster. If you have a university near by you will have a different population than if you don't. Is there another cohousing community nearby that rarely has vacancies?
It helps a lot if current members have lots of contacts. This is the best way to attract people. If people go to church more often and talk about Cohousing when they do. Tell coworkers about it. Talk to all your clubs, associations, sports teams, etc.
AND publicize on the web. There are at least two households out there who are just waiting to move to your area!
