Cohousing-L Mailing List: hello! newbie to the list.

hello everyone- glad to have found this list, and aloha from hawaii-
 
we're a family of 3 living in honolulu, we just learned recently about 
cohousing and we're very excited about it. i've read everything i can on the 
web about it. we believe it's what we've been searching for, but didn't quite 
know it existed. especially considering our 2 year old son we've been talking 
so much about how and where we want to live. i'm a physical therapist, lynn is 
a nurse currently "stay at home mom" and dawson is our 2 year old son. we try 
to live lightly and old-fashioned- recycle, compost, bike to work, minimal TV, 
etc. we love gardening, outdoor stuff, all holidays, and fun- we'd love dawson 
to have more kids to play with.....  here we only have a couple kids on our 
street, and they're older and we never see them! just not the community we 
envisioned.
 
we'd like to come visit cohousing in portland and seattle areas probably in 
november- and looking to move next year, maybe earlier than later! :)  
sharingwood and trillium hollow websites are great... we've ready everything... 
excited! if anyone has any tips for us, we'd appreciate it!
