Cohousing-L Mailing List: Landscaping Budget

We own 10 acres of oak woodland and 3.5 acres of developed landscaping. 

 Our proposed maintenance landscaping budget is 14% of our operating expenses 
with a considerable amount of the work being done by volunteer labor. 

 If we hired out all the maintenance work being planned, the proportion 
increases to 26%.  Does that seem extravagant?
