Since our cohousing communities can be different in their models (lots vs. condominium), it is difficult to compare budgets especially in regard to landscaping. There is also the climate factor, making arid and semi-arid areas more expensive to keep looking good than moist areas. Social expenses are more easily comparable in actual dollars on a per household basis. My example given before of a proposed $7,200 in social expenditures, when quoted on a per household basis, becomes $200 per year. Does $200 per year per household for social expenses sound about average? Norm G.
