Sharon, your comments below seem to reflect a high degree of frustration
with the renters in question.

As a general principle, what's the difference between "technical" and
"spiritual" truth? Either everyone follows rules and rarely exceptions are
granted in well-defined and consistent cases, or "technically" AND "in
spirit" those are not rules. We can't tell what others' "spirit" may be, we
may only observe their actions.

Additionally, note that there are many degrees of options between sounding
vague and accommodating and sounding like an Imperial Storm Trooper. In my
experience, imitating Darth Vader will also come back to bite you in said
foot.

It may not be "technically" true but say it
anyway. It should be true in spirit.

... We now have renters in a unit who are refusing to even come to
an orientation!!!! ...
Being accommodating and vague because you don't want to sound like a
storm trooper, will come back to bite you in the foot a million times.
