Robert Moskowitz wrote, "Some of the waypoints I imagine include: Opt in...."

For the newest of newbies, would some of the old hands add a few of the points
they remember, that came way before even Opt-In? I suspect there are lots of us
in the very early stages of dreaming and talking about the concept of a new
community in our area, before even planning the first meeting.
