New concrete is coded to be formulated so it is not harmed by salt. That has been true for years I'm told by building engineers we've consulted.

I think it was badly formulated in some other way. Kids pogo stick make chips in it. Any heavy object cracks it. AND with ground settling, all our walks are tripping hazards. Techniques for raising slaps would be very expensive. One idea is to take them out a few at a time and replace them with some other kind of pavers that are easier to replace or relay when necessary. No final decisions.
