This kind of request comes along from time to time and I'm always conflicted on how to respond. From Debi's post she sounds like a guest most Danish communities would welcome enthusiastically (fluent Danish, wow). But I think the part of the reason Danish communities are not easily found on the net is that they have felt burdened by too many visitors - particularly those around Copenhagen where most visitors drop in. When we visited in 1999 ( http://fholson.cohousing.org/dk-pix.htm ) I felt welcomed at the communities we managed to find but that may be because by then the low profile they kept had reduced the number of visitors. At some of those communities we showed up unannounced becasue we had not managed to find a way to contact them in advance - not a very desireable approach. It sure would be nice if we could find a better gatekeeper mechanism... My contacts in Denmark have largely deteriorated (changing addresses, moves, lack of use etc).
