Dear Friends,As a ten year member of the Nomad Cohousing community in Boulder, Colorado, we have the distinction of having the smallest Common House in the country!
It is essentially one room of 850 square feet for our 11 household community. It includes a home size kitchen, an open space used for meetings, meals, events and a corner area with a small piano and couch and closet where our chairs are stored between meals. Our common house is connected to the lobby of a 150 seat community theater where we share bathrooms.
For the most part, it works fine for our twice weekly meals of 10-25 people. If we could wave a magic wand it would have been nice to include a kids room and a guest room but alas it is not possible.
