Feast or famine of msgs here...

The last 10 days have had fewer than average number of cohousing-L
messages and today - 12/22 there have been no messages since 12/17.
I expect things will pick up one of these times - they always do.
And often the revival of activity reminds folks they have something to
write to cohousing-L about which results in a larger than normal spurt
of messages :)

I think the "activity breeds activity" phenomenon means we tend to
have higher highs and lower lows in message volume than might be nice.

The nature of my management activities means I notice the lows which
apparently go unnoticed by others. I've wondered how I could encourage
some activity when there is a lull without precipitating a flurry. If you
have a topic that can easily wait a while, you might want to wait for a
lull to post. I suspect posts during a lull are more likely to be read
and get a response due to the lack of competing topics.

Given that there are few (no!) other cohousing-L messages lately, I hope
you will forgive this sort of off topic musing which as list manager I
feel special permission to post. Rather than reply to this, I encourages
(a few of you :) to post somhing interesting about cohousing andd beat the
rush.

I hope you are enjoying the holiday period.

Fred, cohousing-L list manager in Minneapolis where we finally had some
snow yesterday tho it was wet sloppy stuff that may melt quickly.
