I am interested in co-housing in NYC as well and would be interested in
meeting with other like-minded interested individuals. Also, I am very
familiar with NY's real estate law and could provide advice with organizing
NY housing.

Search the old cohousing-L (via link at bottom of every message). It seems
like NYC comes up from time to time. In particular (2/6/06),

My page http://mn.cohousing.org/urban may be of interest. One big
building cohousing is unusual in the US but exists. See BO-90 (Denmark)
and Fardknappen (Sweden) , their sites are not in English but have
pictures. (Search for them in Cohousing-L, I've written about them.)
