Cohousing Advocates Introductory Sessions!
Cohousing Advocates is a new business in the Twin Cities(Minneapolis-St
Paul) area. The founders are Joelyn Malone (of Monterey Cohousing, Mpls
MN)and Phil Stevenson, an owner of rental properties who has a long-term
interest in cohousing. We are holding our first information sessions to
describe our services this month. Our "quick-start" model features sites
we've been researching that could be available for cohousing move-in within
as short a time as 6 months to 1-2 years. This is a pretty unique
opportunity we have because of the slow-down in the housing market, and
will only be available as long as other condo and multi-family sales are
close to zero as they are now.

Here are the Introductory Meetings scheduled so far:

Saturday April 14th: 10:00 AM - Noon
Twin Cities Friend's Meeting House
1725 Grand Avenue
St. Paul, MN

or
Wednesday April 25th: 7:00 - 9:00PM
Lake Harriet Spiritual Community
4401 Upton Avenue South
Minneapolis, MN

We are really excited to have found this gold mine of potential cohousing
sites. Some already have financing for affordable housing as part of the
package they can offer. You can meet other people interested in cohousing,
share your ideas, see photos, and explore how Phil and I might work with
you. If not for one of the sites in our (growing) portfolio, then in
group-building and cohousing education and coaching, and typically also
helping you find the site you've been looking for.

See www.cohousingadvocates.com for more information. Or contact me at the
above email address -- I'd love to talk more with anybody from the Twin
Cities or surrounding region. (We have a questionnaire for interested
people to fill out at our web site, but we're having technical difficulties
with the form so check back later if that's how you want to reach us.)

Joelyn Malone
from Monterey Cohousing, where we had all time high temps in the 80's and
three days later day-time highs that were all-time lows. 2-5 inches of snow
& slush is predicted for tomorrow.
