Hi folks,I thought others might enjoy checking out this article, about how Corvallis Cohousing is raising money for a unit in their community to be home for a disabled member. What a wonderful group!

From: "Juva" <juva [at] comcast.net>This is what I have been doing the last few months. The article says we have raised $54,000 because that is what is in the bank but we have a commitment for closer to $100,000 from the CoHo members alone! And we just started the fundraising! We knew we were going to get an article in the paper but we are the front page! Mike is really a great asset to CoHo. It became clear to us that most people look and see why he would be better off in CoHo but most don?t understand the benefit to us. Just one example is all the kids are comfortable with a big electric chair now?the toddlers see a chair and say ?Mike?. So we realized that not only is this home needed in CoHo but other communities.. so the project has grown?.
