Wikis are great.  We have installed mediawiki (free open source) for 
our use and it has been quite successful.  You can check it out at 
www.kvaustin.org/wiki - you will need to register.  In the past we 
used wikihost.org out of germany - free software and free hosting 
which worked quite well also.  Check out http://cac.wikihost.org
