We have two lists, one for residents and one that is open to any non- residents.
The non-resident list is also read by many residents and is for non- business or private communications -- jokes, peace march announcements, etc.
The resident list is closed and members are removed as soon as they move out. We do include renters because security and emergency messages go there, though not all of them read the list.
