Likely limitations include: minimum dwelling size, maximum number of dwellings on acreage, maximum number of unrelated adults in a dwelling, is it a private residence or a group home. When you show the stubbed-out plumbing in the building plans, but don't count those residents in your project's plan, you may have a problem. Not a prohibition but a hassle: doing the paperwork to be a landlord, handling the deposit correctly, and doing the paperwork to pay taxes on the income from a rental. Can you get construction loans and mortgages for dwellings which in the future may have a quite unusual configuration of bed/bath/kitchen? Brian
